Calling all Web Designers! Create a winning online service in HammerKit Design In the Cloud competition
HammerKit, creator of the online service design toolkit, invites talented and innovative web
designers to compete for the best web service. The winner will be awarded with a Wacom
Intuos4 A4 wide tablet and one year free HammerKit site plan.
Helsinki, Finland 14th September 2010, HammerKit, the creator of the cloud based online
service design system, hosts a web site design competition targeted at aspiring and
professional web designers.
“We want to give talented designers a chance to showcase their skills beyond photoshop
in building a fully functional dynamic web site ready to service its users. A design
competition is a great way to encourage aspiring web designers to innovate and grasp
new technologies, which is a must if you want to remain competitive in todayʼs web design
world.” says Mark Sorsa-Leslie, CEO of HammerKit.
The task is to build an interactive site on the HammerKit platform. There are three different
categories to choose from. 1) Reservation service, which is a site that allows users to
make a booking for e.g. a trip, time slot for a hairdresser/beautician/dentist etc. 2)
Showcase, which is a photo or video gallery for e.g. product samples, personal portfolios,
locations, recepies, collections of crafts and arts etc. 3) Social Media Service, which is a
site connecting together various social media forming a new entity for even better followup
on friendsʼ and associatesʼ messages and content.
The deadline for submissions is November 30th 2010. The winner will be awarded with a
Wacom Intuos A4 wide tablet (worth €500) and one free site specific launch fee (worth
€299) as well as one year free HammerKit site hosting plan (starting from €29 a month).
